DIY BABY SHOWER FAVORS

DIY  Sugar Scrub Baby Shower Favors

HOMEMADE SUGAR SCRUB
What you'll need for the sugar scrub:
- mixing bowl and spoon
- 3 cups white or RAW sugar
- 1 cup + 2 Tbsp. good quality olive oil or coconut oil
- 10 drops of yummy-scented soothing essential oil per jar .... mandarin, peppermint,  lavender

Combine your sugar and oil, mix it up well, and divide into separate bowls (if you're planning to flavor them separately). Add your essential oil, stir, and divide among your jars.
(you can also use kosher salt as as substitute for the sugar)

Use pink OR blue icing or use both colors to keep the guests guessing as to the gender of the new arrival.

BABY FEET COOKIE CUTTER FAVORS

SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE

1. Gather all your supplies to make the sugar cookies. Or buy the pre-made cough from the grocery store. Make sure to buy enough for the number of guests you have coming.
2. Frosting for your sugar cookies.
3. Dye for your frosting.
4. Frosting pens to write with on top of your cookies.
5. Cookie cutters in baby shapes, such as bottles, babies, strollers, or any other shape that matches the theme of your baby shower.
6. Small, clear cookie bags.
7. If you do not want to use bags, then clear plastic wrap works also.
8. Pre-printed ribbon with your name or your babies name and the date of the baby shower.
Now that you have all your supplies you are ready to make your baby shower cookie favors, first begin with making your cookies.
If you are using cookie cutters, then cut out your shapes. Make around the same number of shapes, so if you need 20 cookies and you have 4 shapes, make 5 of each shape. You may have to make the cookies one day and let them cool overnight and complete the rest of the favor the following day.
Now that your cookies are cooled, begin mixing the frosting to the desired colors you have chosen. Make sure you have enough frosting for all of your cookies.
Begin frosting and designing each cookie now. Use a butter knife to spread the frosting and detail to each cookie. Make sure the frosting is completely dry before doing anything else so that it does not get smeared or crushed.
You can use your frosting pen for small details like eyes, noses, a mouth, or other small lines and curves that can not be done easily with anything else.
Now that all the frosting is dried, begin placing the cookies in the cookie bags. Be careful still while doing this so the frosting does not get knocked off either. Dried frosting can fall off if you are not careful, so slide the baby shower cookie favors into the bags.
Take the pre-printed ribbon and tie the bags closed.
Place these on each persons plate  hang from a BABY SHOWER TREE or place in a basket for each guest to take as they leave.

BABY SHOWER FAVOR TREE.  Find a beautiful tree branch or use a mini Christmas Tree (which you Can spray paint any color) and hang your cookie favors!
This BABY TREE can also be used to invite guests to write sweet wishes for the new baby and attach them to the tree.
The new MOM-TO-BE will cherish these notes forever!.  Supply hang tags with ribbons and plenty of pens or colorful markers and crayons.
BELL JARS FOR CUPCAKES

I love these glass bell jars!  Fill them with beautiful cupcakes, candles or small plants.
Tiny terrariums are all the rage now, so who wouldn't love one as a baby shower favor!.

Use small succulents, mosses or clovers to fill your TINY TERRARIUMS.  Attach a personalized label and ribbon and you have a unique baby shower favor everyone will love!
